"Tatiana has been teaching our kids to play piano for more than 6 years. We chose her because of her ability to connect with young kids and her passion for music. She is a great educator who knows and loves to teach her students to appreciate and understand music.
She also organizes recitals twice a year where all her students have a chance to show what they learned and see what they can accomplish by observing others. Tatiana is very dedicated to perfect young piano players techniques, which is very important for us. We always recommend Tatiana to our friends who are looking for good professional piano teacher."

Philosophy
Music has always been my life and my biggest passion, and my personal goal is to share the beauty of it with my students. I believe it is very important to inspire each child to learn how to play piano, as well as how to appreciate music of any kind. According to research, the younger a child starts to learn piano, the more benefits he/she will receive from it.
I believe that playing piano is not just about taking lessons and practicing. With the student, I strive to explore a whole new world full of sounds, tunes, and harmonies, as well as music history, theory, and analysis.
I am convinced that playing piano provides a great boost for the student’s brain development. To me, music and math are highly intertwined. By understanding beat, rhythm, and scales, children learn how to divide, create fractions, and recognize patterns. It seems that music wires a child’s brain to help them better understand all areas of math.
I find it necessary to challenge my students during each lesson by setting up short and long term goals for them. I believe that learning piano teaches students about delayed gratification; playing piano teaches children to persevere through hours, months, and sometimes years of practice before they reach specific goals.
I also think that learning piano teaches you a lot of different life skills. For example, presenting yourself in public is an important skill whether you become a professional musician or not. Learning to play piano is a great way to help alleviate stress, stimulate the mind, improve coordination, and promote an overall sense of well-being at any age. From the feedback I have received, I am very pleased to know that my students have embraced my philosophy and continue to follow it.
